I have found the best layering tops ever. The. Best. Ever. Period.
After years of layering tees from Gap, Banana Republic, Land’s End, Target…the list goes on and on, a friend of mine who always looked sleek and not frumpy in her layering tees turned me on to Adea.
I now have the perfect foundation piece for every suit I own. The perfect warm layer under my ski clothes and bulky sweaters. The perfect way to extend the wearability of my favorite sleeveless and short sleeve tops for both work and play. The perfect tank tops for the rare occasions where I need one.
I will admit that I balked at the price when I first saw them online; but, I took the plunge because my friend always managed to look simultaneously at ease and sexy in her Adea tops no matter the context–sweeping the floor, shopping, brunch, clubbing…the list goes on and on. Crafted of Italian microfiber that hugs the body perfectly and provides great warmth, these tees were the layering tops that my wardrobe had been missing all these years.
Soon, an obsession was born. With all the colors, cuts, and sizes there is a lot to be obsessed with but my favorite is the 3/4 sleeve scoop neck in white of which I now own three since I wear them so often. I stock up on staple colors in various cuts when there is a sale or use sales to experiment with colors such as coral and ox blood (shown below).
Check out some of my favorite Adea tops below (forgive the random cropping done to protect the identities of those pictured with me before I knew I would be sharing my love of the Adea layering tops on the blog).

White long sleeve crew neck with gold trimmed v-neck sweater, Kate Spade necklace, AG jeans, & Tory Burch boots
