Every year I use four wide holiday patterned ribbons hung from where the crown molding meets the ceiling in our mudroom to display our holiday cards. Each card gets safety pinned or stapled to the ribbon. At the end of the holiday season (or occasional on the summer solstice since our home is usually a chaotic mess) I fold up the ribbons and box the cards so I will always have those memories to look back on.

This year, since I anticipated running out of space, I made a lattice. It’s already full. I love seeing how all our family and friends are changing year to year. Now I just have to get more ribbon to see how the slackers are doing.

NB: Knowing full well that it would be a Christmas miracle if we got our cards out before the actual holiday, we just went ahead and got New Year’s Cards! Happy Holidays!
